The No. 11 team charged from 38th starting spot and led the most laps to win the Ford 400 on Sunday. Hamlin collects the first ever win for manufacturer Toyota at Homestead, and he finishes fifth in the final championship standings.
Denny Hamlin will have arthroscopic knee surgery on Wednesday to repair some minor damage to his right knee, scenedaily.com reports.

With the season coming to a close after this weekend at Homestead, Hamlin is scheduled to have some knee surgery to repair some minor damage. The short off-season should allow plenty of time for healing after the procedure, and Hamlin should be ready to go at Daytona next February.

It was a typical Phoenix effort for the Fed Ex No. 11 team. Hamlin stayed among the leaders for most of the race, and collected his fifth career Top 5 at the flat oval. He remains eighth in the championship standings despite his great effort in the Checker Auto Parts 500.
Denny Hamlin won the pole for the Able Body Labor 200 Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 133.968 mph.

Hamlin set a new track record in qualifying on Saturday at PIR. He beat out Carl Edwards for the top starting spot in the Able Body Labor 200. Hamlin will challenge for his first win of the season on Saturday afernoon in Phoenix.

Fuel mileage ended up being on Hamlin's side on Sunday at TMS. The No. 11 team stayed out and played the correct pit strategy. The runner-up finish helped Hamlin to climb to eighth-place in the overall standings.
Denny Hamlin won the Tums Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday.

Hamlin took control late in the 500-lap race at Martinsville and held off Jimmie Johnson on the green-white-checkered finish to capture the victory. It was his third win of the season. Hamlin moves up a couple spots to 9th-place in the championship standings as a result.
Denny Hamlin will take to the track in the No. 51 Toyota Tundra at Martinsville Speedway Saturday, October 24 in the running of the Kroger 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, billyballewmotorsports.com reports.

Hamlin will fill in for Busch this week at Martinsville. Busch will race instead at Memphis in search of this season's Nationwide Series championship. Hamlin has a great NASCAR record at Martinsville Speedway. He should challenge for the win on Saturday in this very strong truck series team.

It was a disappointing turn of events for the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing team. Hamlin was leading the race late at Fontana when he accidentally cut off Juan Pablo Montoya on a restart. The contact sent Hamlin spinning into the wall. The DNF caused him to tumble to ninth-place in the championship standings at 219 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson.

Hamlin dominated the event and finally won at his home state track. It was his second victory of the season. The No. 11 team enters the Chase on a roll and will be seeded fourth in the standings when series visits New Hampshire next weekend. Hamlin appears poised to challenge for his first championship.

Hamlin led 23 laps and ran in the Top 5 for most of the evening at Atlanta. The Top-10 finish earned him a spot in the Chase so the pressure is off heading to Richmond this week. Hamlin is running very well right now and could rally to challenge for the championship in this season's Chase for the Cup.
