The former Joe Gibbs Racing driver is trying to make his way back after a serious accident Aug. 22 in a Sprint car event at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, scenedaily.com reports.
Impact:
Yeley is on the mend from breaking three vertebrae this summer. He's undergone successful neck surgery and has an idea of breaking back into NASCAR after a lengthy absence. The Nationwide Series would likely be where Yeley will land in 2010.
Former NASCAR driver J.J. Yeley reportedly suffered three broken vertebrae during a crash at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. on Saturday night, Racin' Today reports.
Impact:
Yeley's car flipped violently on the dirt track in Kanasas City and he suffered broken vertebrae as a result. Yeley was treated at a local hospital and then transported back to North Carolina afterwards. This injury will further hamper his efforts to get back into racing in NASCAR.
