  Carl Edwards, who won a Sprint Cup Series-high nine races in 2008, did not win any Sprint Cup Series races in 2009 after finishing seventh in the Ford 400 at Homestead on Sunday, the Roanoke Times reports.

  Impact:
  It was a disappointing season for the No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing team. Edwards made the Chase field, but had a very sub-par season and was held winless in 2009. The Top-10 finish on Sunday at Homestead was a very encouraging sign, and something Edwards can hopefully build on for 2010.

  Carl Edwards finished second in the Ford 300 Nationwide Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday.

  Impact:
  Edwards battled with Kyle Busch and Jeff Burton for the entire race, but he was unable to collect the win in the season finale. He finished second on the day and second in the championship standings. Edwards was runner-up in the hunt for the championship by 210 points to Busch.

  Carl Edwards won the pole for the Ford 300 Nationwide Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 168.366 mph.

  Impact:
  Edwards beat out Ryan Newman to capture his seventh pole of the season at Homestead. The driver of the No. 60 Ford has been coming on in the last several weeks. Although Edwards has no shot at winning this season's championship on Saturday, he does have a good chance to visit victory lane in the Ford 300.

  Carl Edwards won the Able Body Labor 200 Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday.

  Impact:
  The No. 60 team dominated the day at Phoenix. Edwards led twice for 109 laps and captured his fifth victory of the season. The performance kept Kyle Busch from clinching the championship this weekend. It was Edwards' 25th career win in the Nationwide Series.

  Carl Edwards was fastest in opening practice for the Able Body Labor 200 Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday. He turned a fast lap of 131.038 mph.

  Impact:
  Edwards edged Mike Bliss for the fastest laps in first practice at PIR on Friday. The No. 60 team have brought a fast car to the flat oval in Arizona, and Edwards owns two career victories in Nationwide Series competition at PIR. He should challenge for the win on Saturday in Phoenix.

  Carl Edwards and the No.99 team will make their 11th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Phoenix International Raceway in this weekend's Checker O'Reilly Auto Parts 500. In his previous 10 starts, Edwards has accumulated one pole, four Top-5 and an amazing seven Top-10 finishes at the raceway, roushfenway.com reports.

  Impact:
  Despite stellar numbers at PIR, Edwards hasn't shown much Top 10 form of late. Entering this weekend's event Edwards has failed to crack the Top 10 in his last four races and he's sagged to 11th in the series standings. The No. 99 team makes a risky fantasy racing start at Phoenix, despite Edwards' great career numbers.

  Carl Edwards and Talladega Superspeedway have a love-hate relationship, the team came so close to a win in the spring but unfortunately ended up in a scary wreck that sent Edwards spinning up into the fence on the final lap, roushfenway.com reports.

  Impact:
  This weekend Edwards returns to the scene of his wild last-lap accident at Talladega. The No. 99 Ford was strong that day and charged to the lead in the closing laps. We're sure that Edwards hopes for better luck this time around. Considering how sub par this season has been for the Roush Fenway Racing star, Talladega could hold the possibility of a much needed Top-5 finish.

  Carl Edwards won the pole for the Dollar General 300 Nationwide Series race at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Friday. He turned a fast lap of 183.799 mph.

  Impact:
  The No. 60 Ford was fast again on Friday at LMS. Edwards captured his sixth pole of the season. He will challenge for the win on Friday night in Charlotte.

  Carl Edwards battled a loose race car and trouble in the pits at Auto Club Speedway. He was as far back as 21st with 21 laps to go, but good pit strategy and a fast race car in the end helped him climb all the way up to sixth-place when the checkered flag flew, roushfenway.com reports.

  Impact:
  It was a brilliant come back by the Roush Fenway Racing No. 99 team. Edwards charged to the front in the closing laps and collected what has been a rare Top-10 finish for the team of late. If Edwards can finish 2009 on a high note, there's no doubt that he'll carry that momentum into next season.

  Carl Edwards finished third in the Copart 300 Nationwide Series race at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday.

  Impact:
  Edwards soldiered to a brilliant Top-5 finish at Fontana on Saturday. He brought the No. 60 Ford from 16th starting spot to crack the Top 10 early and stay there for most of the race. Edwards' 20th Top-5 finish of the season helped him in the championship chase. He closed to within 155 points of leader Kyle Busch.

  Carl Edwards' No. 99 Ford will wear the colors of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure this weekend at Kansas Speedway. The team is looking to ride the momentum of the past couple week to victory lane in Sunday's Price Chopper 400, roushfenway.com reports.

  Edwards simply hasn't been the star driver this season that we've come to know the past couple years. He's still winless for the season entering this Sunday's event at Kansas Speedway. The No. 99 team's mediocre performance of late indicates that fantasy racing owners look for help elsewhere for the Price Chopper 400.

  Carl Edwards won the Virginia College Savings 250 Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway on Friday night.

  Impact:
  Edwards battled from the rear of the field to take the lead late and win at RIR. The No. 60 team is surging right now, and Edwards is making a late season run at the championship. He cut a small piece out of Kyle Busch's series standings lead. Edwards now trails Busch by 201 points.

  Carl Edwards finished 37th in the Pep Boys Auto 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday night.

  Impact:
  Bad luck struck the No. 99 team at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday night. Edwards had a piece of track debris puncture an oil cooler on his Ford Fusion. The damage caused the team to lose many laps making repairs. Edwards remains fifth in the championship standings, but has to be wondering about his bad luck entering this season's Chase for the Cup.

  Carl Edwards, who is currently fifth in the championship points, fractured his right foot playing Frisbee on Wednesday, FOX Sports reports.

  Impact:
  This has not been Edwards best season. He broke his foot on Wednesday in a mishap playing frisbee. Edwards saw a specialist in his home town on Thursday and is expected to race this weekend at Atlanta despite the broken gas pedal foot.

  Carl Edwards won the NAPA Auto Parts 200 Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Sunday.

  Impact:
  Edwards made the race-winning pass on the last lap when leader Marcos Ambrose made a mistake and hit the rumble strips too hard in the turns. It was his third win of the season and allowed Edwards to cut into the championship standings lead. He now trails Kyle Busch by 192 points.
