HOW TO PLAY.
NASCAR.com will conduct a Game encouraging Participants to predict the top finishing drivers of the weekly Races (as defined below). Participants may choose to join a private league consisting of Participants who elect to be placed in a league determined by the Participants ("Private League"). After each Race, standings for Private Leagues will reflect each team's relative standing within that league.
- Selecting Your Team.
Each week throughout the Game, Participant will be required to choose a team of three drivers (a Roster) comprising one driver from each of three groups of twelve drivers (each a "Group"). Once Participant has selected his/her Roster, such Roster will NOT carry over from week to week. If Participant does not set up a Roster in a given week he/she will score zero points. Note: Driver groupings are updated on Tuesdays. The list will not change if certain drivers are added to a Race playing field, or drop out from it after the list is posted on the site.
- Entering Your Tiebreaker Predictions.
In addition to the Roster selections, each week, Participants will be prompted to predict the top finishing driver from a list of drivers not available to Participant for inclusion on his her Roster (Tiebreaker #1). This tiebreaker prediction will be used to break any ties that occur for the weekly prizes and overall grand prize as described in the "Ties" section below.
- Team Selection Deadline.
A "Race" is one NASCAR Race each week (see the "Scheduled Races" section below), runs on a weekend, and is defined as a Sprint Cup Race. The deadline for picking a Roster each week is the schedule start time of the broadcast coverage for that Race.
- Point Values.
Each team will earn points equal to the Sprint Cup points earned by the drivers on Participant's Roster for that Race. Note: The Sprint Cup points for group one will be doubled as these Drivers are the twelve Chase qualified Drivers. Throughout the Race, you will see projected Sprint Cup points earned displayed on the Fantasy Leaderboard. This does not represent Sprint Cup points won by a Roster, but rather a scenario of what the points earned would be if the Race ended at that time.
-
Ties.
In the event that there is a tie for the Weekly Prize (as defined below), the following tiebreakers will be used:
- The Participant who selects the highest scoring driver in Tiebreaker #1 will win.
- If a tie still exists, the team whose driver from Group 1 has the highest points during the Race will win. If a tie still exists, the team whose driver from Group 2 has the highest points during the Race will win. If a tie still exists, the team whose driver with the highest points from Group 3 will win.
- If a tie still exists, then the winner will be determined using the date and time of Roster submission. The tied team with the earlier submission of the winning roster will be declared the winner.
